Joint Replacement
At Longview Regional Medical Center’s Center for Joint Restoration, we take pride in providing quality and compassionate patient-centered care. The joint restoration process is designed to help control your pain and get you back to your lifestyle as quickly as possible. We are committed to being the preferred joint care provider in East Texas.
We believe that patients play the biggest role in the recovery process. That’s why the program integrates pre-op education, surgical procedures and individualized post-op rehabilitation for patients undergoing joint replacement surgery.
The staff includes orthopedic surgeons, anesthesiologists, specially trained nurses, physical and occupational therapists, case managers and orthopedic technicians. We are devoted to helping resolve your challenges while providing you with the best possible care. The goal is to utilize the team approach to enable patients to improve their functional skills allowing them to live, work and enjoy life after initial hospitalization.
What to Expect?
The joint restoration program begins with education. Before surgery, each patient attends a pre-operative class on the surgical unit in the main hospital. This class will provide you with information on how to prepare for surgery and what to expect from your stay at Longview Regional Medical Center. We encourage each patient to bring a friend or family member who can act as a support coach through your joint restoration process.
Complimenting surgical intervention, Longview Regional Medical Center's Center For Joint Restoration offers rehabilitative care following surgery. Patients are seen by specialty-trained physical and occupational therapists. There are dedicated rooms on the surgical unit for those undergoing joint replacements that have to stay overnight. We appreciate your consideration.
