
Multi-Million Dollar Expansion Set for Completion in 2013
The much anticipated expansion of Longview Regional Medical Center will get underway with a groundbreaking ceremony slated for Thursday, June 21 and construction to begin in July. View Formal Invitation
Current design supports a 230-bed hospital with all acute care private rooms, and a new three story vertical tower as well as a vertical expansion of the existing tower creating a new third and fourth floor. Once completed, this expansion will nearly double the size of Longview Regional. Read the full press release.
Features of the Hospital Expansion Include:
- Doubling of Surgery Operating Rooms from 8 to 16
- Doubling of Intensive Care Unit beds from 12 to 24
- More Than Doubling Labor Delivery and Postpartum beds from 15 to 43
- New Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with 21 beds
- New Oncology Unit with 8 beds
