At Longview Regional Medical Center’s Center for Joint Restoration, we take pride in providing quality and compassionate patient-centered care. Our joint restoration process is designed to help control your pain and get you back to your lifestyle as quickly as possible.
We believe that patients play the biggest role in the recovery process. That’s why our program integrates pre-op education, surgical procedures and unique post-op rehabilitation for patients undergoing joint replacement surgery.
Our staff includes orthopedic surgeons, anesthesiologists, specially trained nurses, physical and occupational therapists, orthopedic technicians and a joint care coordinator. And we are devoted to helping resolve your challenges while providing you with the best possible care.
The joint care coordinator plays a vital role in your joint restoration journey. Our coordinator will oversee your complete patient experience- from pre-op meetings with your surgeon to post-op rehabilitation. Whether you’re coming to the center for a knee or hip replacement, our joint care coordinator will help guide your pre-op education, oversee your stay, and assist in planning your discharge from the hospital.
Our joint restoration program begins with education. Before surgery, each patient attends a pre-operative class with our joint care coordinator. This class will provide you with information on how to prepare for surgery and what to expect from your stay at Longview Regional Medical Center. We encourage each patient to bring a friend or family member who can act as a support coach through your joint restoration process.
While each patient has a private room, we believe in a group approach to recovery. Patients in the Center for Joint Restoration exercise together and experience hurdles and victories as a team in our group therapy room.
