Skilled Nursing
The Skilled Nursing Care Facility, regulated by the Department of Aging and Disability Services, provides services to patients after a consecutive three-night stay in an acute hospital within the past 30 days. We are the only hospital-based skilled nursing unit in the local area. Patients requiring more central nursing and therapy can come to the unit to receive needed care.
This is a unit where the care is provided by a multi-disciplinary team approach. Nurses, physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and social services focus on the unique needs of patients of all ages. Our skilled nursing team invites family members and friends to play an active role in the patient’s recovery while providing an enjoyable atmosphere to promote healing.
The unit consists of 15 Medicare Certified beds. Skilled services include monitoring treatment of an acute or exacerbation illness, IV therapy, wound healing, and physical, occupational, and/or speech therapy.
