The BirthPlace
The mission of The BirthPlace at Longview Regional is to provide the highest level of comfort, security and joy during a patient’s birthing experience. The staff offers compassionate care and individualized attention to meet patient and family needs.
This unit features the latest monitoring equipment, supportive and involved physicians and a skilled and knowledgeable nursing staff. The BirthPlace also features labor, delivery and recovery (LDR) rooms, which allow privacy and comfort to the patient and family.

Pediatrics
The mission of the Pediatrics department is to provide effective, efficient and responsive medical care for all infants, children and adolescents through disease prevention and acute disease management. The patients may be ambulatory or non-ambulatory and they may be classified as inpatients, outpatients or observation patients.
Patient care on these units consists of a multi-disciplinary approach that involves the physician, nurse, social services, and any ancillary team member necessary for the treatment and care of these patients. Staffing is specific for these pediatric patients and is provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Thank you for choosing the BirthPlace at Longview Regional Medical Center for your delivery. We promise to do everything we can to make this exciting event one filled with heartwarming memories, while giving you peace of mind as you ready yourself to deliver.
Admission information:
If your physician has scheduled you for a Cesarean Section, please come to Longview Regional for your lab work 1-2 days before your scheduled date of delivery. The lab work is done on an outpatient basis and no appointment is necessary. If you come in during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, you may register at the Outpatient Registration desk, located at the north entrance by the Emergency Department. If you come after hours or on the weekend, you may register at the desk in the Emergency Department. After the necessary paperwork is completed, you will be directed to the lab.
For the day of your delivery:
It is important that you not eat or drink anything after midnight on the night before your delivery. Please plan to arrive at the hospital by 6 a.m. and register again through he Emergency Department. Once paperwork is complete, you will be directed to Labor and Delivery.
