Janeen Smith, MSN, RN-BC, Education Coordinator for Longview Regional Medical Center (LRMC) was chosen as the Lion's Club Nurse of the Year.  She received these prestigious awards for recognizing her value both as a nurse and a community leader.

She was awarded from the East Texas Baptist University (ETBU) Nursing Honor Society, as well as an Honorary Inductee as a Community Leader into the ETBU Honor Society.  Sheryl Sims, RN and House Supervisor at presented the award at an induction ceremony in May.

Other nominees from Longview Regional were Rise Rash, RN, Skilled Nursing Facility and Charlotte Sorensen, RN, Post-Partum. Monica Grant, Longview Regional’s Skilled Nursing Facility Director, introduced the LRMC nominees.
