Longview Regional Medical Center Recognizes National EMS Appreciation Week With Cookout
LONGVIEW, TEXAS (May 23, 2012) — Longview Regional Medical Center showed its appreciation and gratitude to all of the EMS responders in our service area by hosting a special “EMS Appreciation Hamburger Cookout” on the hospital campus Wednesday, May 23. For more than 13 years, LRMC has continued to show their admiration to the local Emergency Medical Services and Fire Department with its annual cookout.
Attendees included hospital Administration, Longview Fire Department, Champion EMS, Tiger EMS, ETMC EMS and District 3 local City Councilwoman, Kasha Williams. Williams said, “I support and appreciate the quality our local Fire and EMS personnel services generously contribute. Their services play in integral role in the safety of our city.”
LRMC’s Emergency Services Team provided 20 hamburgers “to-go,” to the Longview Fire Department Firefighters who were tackling two active fires today.
“We are pleased to honor and recognize the daily commitment, critical work and service our dedicated EMS and Fire Department provide to ensure the health of our community,” said Jim Kendrick, hospital CEO.
