We are Committed To You.
We are proud to announce the major addition of our new vascular X-ray interventional suite, which will open in November 2008. This is a significant investment in promoting the delivery of enhanced vascular care.
Using the latest X-ray imaging technology, our team of specialists will be able to perform a wider range of minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic vascular procedures in a patient-focused environment.
At the heart of our new interventional suite is the Philips Allura Xper FD20 imaging system. This advanced technology helps to optimize patient safety and comfort, and enables us to provide an advanced level of vascular care for your patients.
We invite you to find out more about our new vascular X-ray imaging suite, and how you can use this important resource to benefit your patients and your practice.
Visionary Imaging Technology.
We selected the Philips Allura Xper FD20 X-ray lab for its combination of imaging technology and design that meets the different needs of our clinical staff and patients. The Allura provides our specialists and referring physicians with comprehensive vascular imaging for diagnostic and interventional procedures, and is designed to encourage patient safety and comfort.
The system enables precision positioning at high stand speeds, minimizing procedure time for patients and staff. A fully motorized C-arm stand provides a wide range of viewing angles while allowing easy access to patients, and includes automatic, touchless safety sensing to avoid patient contact.
The Allura imaging system features advanced X-ray tube technology and beam filtering techniques for excellent performance and reduced X-ray dose. A unique high-resolution flat detector design delivers outstanding image quality through the highly efficient conversion of X-rays to light. The system’s integrated imaging chain optimizes image capture, processing speed and clarity of display.
The Allura helps us to enhance patient care while offering a broader range of procedures. Our referring physicians now have a world-class, local resource to provide advanced diagnosis and treatment for their patients with vascular disease.
One in five Americans suffer from one or more forms of vascular disease; therefore, advancements in the medical technology used to treat and diagnose these conditions are critical.
The System
Developed by Philips, the Allura Xper FD20 system offers doctors and vascular patients several benefits over older technologies, including sharper X-ray images, reduced radiation dose and faster imaging times with the new state-of-the-art X-ray lab.
Procedures performed on the system are typically carried out with the use of small, X-ray-guided catheters threaded inside blood vessels to open blockages or destroy blood clots. These so-called minimally invasive techniques greatly reduce recovery time and overall procedure risk. A special feature on the new X-ray system is the small imaging sensor known as the Flat Detector, which plays a key role in delivering high resolution images.
All of this technology adds up to potentially better, and safer, results for patients who need vascular interventions.
